Welcome to Hever Cars. By booking a cab through our website or over the phone, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all bookings made via our online form or through the phone number listed on our homepage.
1. Booking and Confirmation
- Bookings can be made via our website form or by calling us directly.
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Once your booking is submitted, a confirmation will be sent by email, text message, or a confirmation call.
- If you do not receive a confirmation, your booking has not been processed.
2. Waiting Time Charges
- The first 15 minutes of waiting time is free.
- After that, £5 will be charged for every additional 15 minutes.
3. Pricing & Fare Details
- Fares are calculated based on journeys from or to Sevenoaks.
- Pickups outside Sevenoaks may include a small additional charge.
- For such journeys, pre-payment over the phone may be required.
- All round trips and multi-location trips must be confirmed over the phone.
4. Additional Charges
- Late night surcharge: All airport transfers between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM incur an additional £5.
- £50 Cleaning Fee For Unreasonable Soiling.
- Holiday surcharge: Fares are double from:
- 6 PM on December 24 to 6 AM on December 27
- 6 PM on December 31 to 6 AM on January 2
5. Online Fare Quotes
- Online quotes are based on standard rates and do not include waiting charges, heavy traffic delays, or overnight fees (11 PM – 7 AM).
- Final fare may vary from online estimate based on real-time conditions.
6. Cancellations and Amendments
- Local journeys: Free cancellation if made at least 1 hour before pickup time.
- Airport/long-distance journeys: Free cancellation if made at least 6 hours before pickup time.
- Cancellations after these windows will be fully chargeable.
- Any changes to pickup/drop locations should be made via phone call only.
- We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service To Passengers Displaying Offensive Behavior
For Safeguarding And Crime Prevention Purposes, It Is Our Duty Of Care To Report Any Suspicious Behavior Or Known Criminal Activity To Protect Vulnerable Adults, Children, The General Public And Property.
7. Account Holders
- For business or regular customers, monthly invoices will include a 5% account handling fee.
8. Liability
- In the rare event of a no-show, the maximum liability is limited to the agreed fare amount.
- We are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or weather.
9. Driver Conduct
- All drivers are self-employed and licensed by Sevenoaks District Council.
- Hever Cars acts solely as a booking agent and is not responsible for individual driver conduct.
